Climate
Actually with the Trewartha map link it works very well into four zones for all but a fraction of a percent by area. Humid continental exists in Appalachian highland areas of Virginia and NC. The oceanic climate (Cfb/Do) exists in some southern Appalachian highlands as well as Block Island. Heff01 (talk) 02:30, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

The Trewartha Do zone (coloured green on the Wikipedia map) does not cover a large amount of area on the East Coast, but is surprisingly populated, especially from northern Virginia to Long Island. So much of the Northeast Megalopolis is in this zone. Heff01 (talk) 02:52, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
Most of western North Carolina has a Cfa/Do climate since it only has six to seven months above 50 degrees F. This excludes higher areas that are oceanic or humid continental. Asheville and Morganton have seven months above 50 F and are good examples. Heff01 (talk) 13:55, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
Problem with the map - Vermont isn't showing
Vermont is listed as one of the states in the east coast, but it doesn't show up on the map. I'm not sure how to change the map but this should be fixed. Tommahler (talk) 17:47, 22 March 2023 (UTC)

Definition of region
The area defined as the East Coast on the infobox map is more limited than the states referenced in the introduction as being part of the region. I am not sure without researching it which is correct, but clearly they should be consistent--and they are not currently. Keystone18 (talk) 18:44, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
