"Because the sound of Drastic Measures is closer to the successful records that Loverboy and Foreigner were putting out at the time, Livgren was greatly displeased"...

Interesting. In an interview Livgren did for the People of the South Wind list (Kansas fan email list) about 1995 or 96, he said Drastic Measures had become his favorite of the three early 80s albums. I just tried searching for the interview but it looks like the old POTSW forum archives have been taken down -- but if I find it I'll add this to the article. An examination of the lyrics to "Incident On A Bridge" would lead one to believe Livgren was saying "Good Bye" with the song. It is reflective of his time with the band and the journey they had traveled. While it was sad to see them break up, as Livgren suggests... "And I know, for each life there is a reason And I know, for each time there is a season". Kansas was a unique band; a group of gifted musicians and genius songwriters... definitely the true definition of "classical music merged with rock". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.87.167.230 (talk) 14:18, 24 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
