Extended-confirmed-protected edit request on 18 July 2024

Template:Edit extended-protected On the Image in the Foreign Military Presence section it says "American soldiers in the Grand Bara desert, 2017" but these are American Marines not soldiers which is a term specific to the Army. Streetshoota2004 (talk) 04:02, 18 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Template:Partly done The image description actually says this training included the Air Force, Army, and Marine Corps, so it's not completely clear which branch the people pictured are in. So, I've updated the caption in the article to say Template:Tq instead of Template:!tq. Bsoyka (tcg) 04:05, 19 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Add the word dictatorship

The infobox describes it as a dictatorship but the Politics section doesn’t use that word in the text at all. I believe the word should be included also in the Politics section. 2A02:14F:1F1:D8E8:64E8:EF5:6643:D18B (talk) 18:43, 26 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Remove italics?

I am suggesting that the italics be removed in this sentence: “This officially marked the establishment of the Republic of Djibouti, named after its capital city.” Satchel Kay (talk) 11:51, 20 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Religion section

"Djibouti's population is predominantly Muslim. Islam is observed by around 98% of the nation's population (approximately 891,000 as of 2022). As of 2012, 94% of the population was Muslim whereas the remaining 6% of residents are Christian adherents."

I know 2022 is more recent than 2012, and I don't know if either of these figures are more or less reliable than the other... but surely only one of them is necessary. Mercster (talk) 07:31, 18 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Template:Edit extended-protected Remove Script error: No such module "Labelled list hatnote". from Template:Section link.

There are also regions of Djibouti, which are not mentioned on Districts of Djibouti and are important to the topic, arguably more important than districts. Additionally, Administrative divisions of Djibouti redirects to the section. Coleisforeditor (talk) 20:40, 27 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Wouldn't it better to replace it with a link to the regions article? – macaddct1984 (talk | contribs) 19:16, 28 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
If that happened then we would have the same problem but in reverse, the districts still need mentioning. Coleisforeditor (talk) 00:42, 29 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
The final sentence of that section is:
Script error: No such module "Check for unknown parameters".macaddct1984 (talk | contribs) 14:28, 29 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
It'd be inconsistent to talk about both in the section but then link to only one as the main article. Coleisforeditor (talk) 14:58, 29 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Template:A note I implemented a different solution: I added Regions of Djibouti to Main Article template and changed Districts of Djibouti into Sub-prefectures of Djibouti, since the first is a redirect to the second. P1221 (talk) 11:58, 28 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Template:Edit extended-protected Change "Dir Somali and Afar" to "Dir, Somali, and Afar" as it is a list and should have commas between the entries. Hamsand73 (talk) 02:14, 9 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

in the third paragraph

it says 20 may 2024, when it should say 20th of may 2024. 115.70.62.25 (talk) 09:29, 1 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
