Directorate or Directory

Isn't "Directorate" also the name for an agency run by a Director? Thanx 68.39.174.91 00:24, 13 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

Yes. I've noticed people keep reverting an anonymous IP's edits, but I think Semen is actually a real name in Russia/Ukraine. --Tombomp (talk) 10:45, 24 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Directorate (Dyrektorat) and Directory (dyrektoriya) have different meanings in Ukrainian and English languages. As I know in English Directorate is a political term ("especially in government") while in Ukrainian is opposite: it's a group of managers who control a company.--Юе-Артеміш (talk) 19:48, 15 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
