Hi. As the creator of this article, I am willing to suggest a different wording for the initial paragraph since after all it is not worth deleting the article into oblivion because of that. I apologize and admit to plagiarism.

Suggested New opening: Derek Croxton, PhD, is an American academic specialized in History. He authored of several articles on military and diplomatic aspects of the Thirty Years' War.
