Brain is also fondly remembered for playing a Leopold Mozart horn concerto on rubber hosepipes at a Hoffnung musical festival in 1956. While I find this very funny, I'm wondering where this information is from. Little things like this are nice to know as long as we can back them up. Horndude77 16:51, 13 August 2005 (UTC)

The webpage http://www.musicweb-international.com/hoffnung/emi.htm says that the performance can be heard on EMI recording CMS7 63302 2. --HornSpiel 06:20, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

This article says that Brain's single-B-flat horn was a piston value instrument, but the horn in the photo appears to be a rotary value instrument. Either the article is wrong or the horn is misidentified. Cdixon (talk) 21:57, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

Horn in the fatal crash

I've slightly edited the text. The sources are unclear about the model and pitch of the horn. A book-length biography quotes this article on the matter, which is perverse. More research is required. Anyone know? Tony (talk) 09:27, 14 April 2018 (UTC)
