DFAS in London, Kentucky
A decade ago, Air Force Accounting & Finance gave way to Defense Finance and Accounting Service-DFAS, and my check no longer came from Denver, but London, Kentucky pop. 7,993. Then in the States and smelling pork, I looked into it. London, it turns out, is strung out along the rim of a white-water canyon, which is suitable for supplying both hydroelectric power and cooling for a giant computer. I hope that's notable enough for some Wikipedian with more resources than I in remote Thailand, to dig up sources and cites for posting to both articles. Write now DFAS's is merely bureaucratic brag and London's, piffle, but both deserve better. --
