Boiler plate?

Why is there nothing on the page that one usually sees when something important, such as a person's death occurred? Nosehair2200 (talk) 22:54, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nosehair2200 (talkcontribs) 23:20, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Place of birth

Hi, FYI the article lists two different locations for David McCallum’s birth; the info box shows Lennoxtown and the text (Early Life) says Maryhill, Glasgow. Unfortunately, I can add nothing to this as I only knew he was from the Glasgow area. quizologistQuizologist (talk) 11:16, 26 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Quizologist More importantly, the citation for the Early life section only states that he was born in Glasgow, nothing more specific. —C.Fred (talk) 11:20, 26 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

This is speculation, but I know that there used to be a maternity hospital in Lennoxtown, so a significant number of Glasgow people were born there e.g. Lulu (singer). So he could have been born there even though his family were living in Glasgow. Proper sourcing would help. Maybe somebody living in Edinburgh could pop round to General Register Office? Keith

A minor note: The only place where "Keith" has a source cited is the first sentence of the article. That source in fact nowhere mentions "Keith".

Just to make your lives even more fun: If you go looking for 1960s biographical sources that give "Keith", you'll find that they say that he was born in 1934, not 1933; listed as such in various catalogues of musical and literary works, and aged 33 when his engagement to Katherine Eaton Carpenter is announced in Newsweek in 1967.

Final Role

David appeared in the Season 20 finale of NCIS on May 22, 2023. Should this be the 'final role' rather than that listed in the article - D-Day at Pointe-du-Hoc ? johnmark†:Talk(talk to me) 17:07, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
