Inouye's service in Pearl Harbor

I read somewhere that within hours of the attack on Pearl Harbor, teenage Inouye volunteered at the scene and stayed for eight days. Does anybody have a source for that? SnappingTurtle (talk) 18:13, 2 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
