Total refurbishment

The article itself is clearly in poor shape. I'll be re-arrenging some parts and also initiate a total refurbishment. Please do help me with whatever you can. Regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by KarsVegas36 (talkcontribs) 18:39, 21 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Done with the first phase. Right now, the article is too long and needs to be shortened. Any help is appreciated.KarsVegas36 (talk) 22:04, 21 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Misrepresentation and verification of sources

The lead was recently changed by KarsVegas36 [1]. The source used for first paragraph in the lead is Howard, Douglas A. (2016). The History of Turkey (2nd ed.) p.6.

The wording in the lead is not supported by that source. I have the source. In Google Books preview, the second edition is not available, but you can check the 6th page in first edition, which seems the same: Google Books preview. You can also see the previous version of the lead by me

I can also see citations to entire books, without page numbers or chapters, in Culture_of_Turkey#Anatolian_heritage, Culture_of_Turkey#Ottoman_legacy, and Culture_of_Turkey#Republican_Era. These are hard to verify and problematic in terms of WP:V. Bogazicili (talk) 15:39, 30 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
