Still fastest 13 years after first production

It was the fastest supercomputer in the world 13 years after its first production? This could use a bit of explanation.... --68.41.122.213 03:45, 30 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

ECL used in X-MP and Y-MP

I KNOW that ECL was used in the X-MP as well as the Y-MP. Why? BECAUSE I TESTED THE ECL CHIPS FOR BOTH. The Y-MP used a form of VLSI chips modified to have ECL outputs..The X-MP used ECL 16 GA chips to make all the boards in it..

The " fastest supercompter " was always a race between several competing companies. We ( CRI ) competed by bringing out new models every couple of years.

Another picture

Here's a picture I took with my iPhone of a YMP M90 board when I was at the National Cryptologic Museum. Feel free to use it any way you want to (public domain). fintler (talk) 18:31, 20 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I'll add it to the article. Urban Versis 32KB(talk | contribs) 15:50, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Infobox

This page may need an infobox similar to Cray-1 and Cray X-MP. Urban Versis 32KB(talk | contribs) 15:49, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
