Bump on updating map

A new updated map including the disputed areas Russia has annexed would be nice.

I personally don’t know how to make one, so that’s why I’m requesting a new one. Kalebop1 (talk) 03:35, 8 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

I also support this. Preferably also the area that Armenia claims inside Azerbaijan as well. --66.234.78.234 (talk) 09:28, 22 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Armenia does not claim territory inside Azerbaijan. As for Russia, that is a hot war, and territory held is likely to change. CMD (talk) 09:31, 22 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Proposed merge of Member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States into Commonwealth of Independent States

To avoid content duplication – Member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States contains no substantial content that's not already present in this article. — kashmīrī TALK 21:21, 19 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Merge. It’s kind of a nice standalone summary, but pretty much entirely a content fork per guidelines.  —Michael Z. 15:44, 20 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Merge. Was created by a banned user anyway, and does not have any content that is really different from this page.132.231.51.111 (talk) 17:17, 27 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Merge It's got a lot of content but I agree, if it was standalone as a list page maybe it could stand on it's own but it's extremely redundant currently. Marleeashton (talk) 04:51, 16 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Serious issues with the map

To describe areas like occupied Crimea, Eastern Ukraine, South Ossetia and Abkhazia as "disputed" seems to me to be playing into Kremlin propaganda. Crimea and the Donbas are internationally recognised parts of sovereign Ukraine, while all but a handful of states recognise that South Ossetia and Abkhazia are part of Georgia. Calling them disputed suggests a legitimacy to Russia's claims that is contrary to international law and calls Wikipedia into disrepute. 105.160.21.127 (talk) 10:23, 15 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Besides typical anti-Russian grumbling, do you have any actual suggestions to make? Dimadick (talk) 15:14, 15 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
