Rap rock vs. Rap metal

Okay, why in the hell do people keep changing the genre in the info-box to "rap rock" when the sources clearly state they're "rap metal"? I don't get this, is this more of this heavy metal elitism going on? Ximmerman (talk) 15:30, 14 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Rewording

I've reworded the opening and closing paragraphs for a more neutral encyclopedic tone & style. Djbrianuk 02:21, 6 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

Nigger airplay

I know for a fact that early on more than a few local radio stations in Sweden refused to play "Nigger" as the DJ:s thought it was a racist song, obviously because they had never heard the lyrics. This would be worth mentioning in the article, but unfortunately I have only the word of two DJ:s that they refused airplay, I have no actual proof. If anyone out there has proof, please make the inclusion. It would add value to the article. /HQ —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.227.163.41 (talk) 13:33, 4 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

Say.. what about that remix they've done to the song Links 2 3 4 from Rammstein? I think this article's a bit incomplete.87.103.50.194 (talk) 18:30, 25 December 2008 (UTC)TidusReply

Sources do not classify Clawfinger as a nu-metal band

1. Clawfinger formed before nu-metal even existed. 2. Any website that lists "nu-metal" as their style actually means "rap-metal" and simply conflates the two. 3. In the actual reviews (you got to read those, not just the "genre tags", most of which are added by random people on the Internet), Clawfinger is described as industrial metal/rap metal. --68.185.2.34 (talk) 17:40, 16 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (your reason here) --2A02:3033:13:2CA2:1:2:4F52:A7C0 (talk)One of the most popular band in the 90s. Why should this be deleted?? — Preceding undated comment added 07:35, 6 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

You need to post a reason that states why they are notable per the guidelines. "most popular band in the 90's" is not an acceptable reason. However, I have already established that they are notable because they have charting albums and meet WP:BAND criteria. Article is safe for now.Zeddedm (talk) 07:58, 6 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

This band meets WP:BAND criterion #2, as they have charting album. See their album Deaf Dumb Blind and Use Your Brain. Zeddedm (talk) 07:53, 6 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

The user trying to delete this article has been carrying out vandalism against this and other articles, and has ignored a level-4 warning. They also sign their messages with a company name rather than their own username. I think we can disregard anything they say at this point as they are clearly not here to build an encyclopedia!
