Are these guys the ones who helped Nadar's campain hoping it would take away votes from the Democrats in the 2004 Presidential election?
- What, did you hear that rumor from the same people that taught you how to spell Ralph Nader? 64.221.15.66 (talk) 03:03, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
Astro-turfing the Tea Party Movement
Does anyone have any info on whether or not CSE has astro-turfed the Tea Party Movement, as suggested in the documentary "(Astro) Turf Wars" by Taki Oldham? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.248.156.135 (talk) 17:15, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
Could be true, but this would be considered a primary source. http://web.archive.org/web/20020821185019/http://www.cse.org/tea/about.php --Vidkun (talk) 18:45, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
Disputed citation
I added a dispute tag because the claim that CSE purchased the Tax Foundation in 1989 is inaccurate. The citation provided for this claim is not sufficient (it's an article from 1989 saying that this will happen in the future, but it does not claim that it did happen.) CSE provided financial support and shared office space with the Tax Foundation for a few years in the early 90s, but the two were always legally independent. Furthermore, there is no citation for the fact that the relationship lasted until 2004.Nkasprak (talk) 19:08, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

- Nkasprak - do you have access to the 990's for the Tax Foundation (or CSE) from this time period? While I they can be acquired from the IRS, since you work at the Tax Foundation, I thought you'd have easier access. If they confirm the error, posting and citing them would forever resolve the issues with this article.--E8 (talk) 22:13, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
Draffan Apex source
Template:U, what is the basis for your position that this is a reliable source:
- Script error: No such module "citation/CS1".
--Dr. Fleischman (talk) 05:44, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
- Can you link to an WP:RSN discussion on Apex? Thanks. Hugh (talk) 05:47, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
- Do I need to? It's the burden of the editor seeking to include content to establish verifiability. --Dr. Fleischman (talk) 06:02, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
Never mind. There were two cited sources written by Draffan with very similar names, one published by a reputable publisher, the other published by a not-so-reputable publisher. I conflated the two. My apologies. --Dr. Fleischman (talk) 06:08, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
