Blue Jays?

I cleaned up the St. Louis section, as there were some major grammatical/style issues. But I noticed there's no section about his time in Toronto. Anybody want to address that? Phyrkrakr (talk) 18:40, 6 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I added some more in Jays section since he was a significant player before joining St. Louis as well. Just saying "He played for the Blue Jays from 1997 till 2002" seem pretty lackluster.

About Chris Carpenter?

This article isn't really about Chris Carpenter so much as it is about the St. Louis Cardinals. Why post a "biography" of a player without bothering to research either his minor league or major league careers. I can actually see why editors would decide to remove this, since it isn't really a biography and it isn't really about Chris Carpenter.

This has been fixed up some, but more info about his minor league time and career with Toronto is needed Phyrkrakr (talk) 18:40, 6 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

This is a valid article

Seems silly to have to say that, but apparently this article was deleted after being vandalized, by an admin who didn't check the file history or links to this page. Chris Carpenter is indeed a prominent and notable baseball player. This page should not be eligible for speedy deletion. --W.marsh 05:00, 31 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Additonal scouting citation

I just watched the Cardinals on Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN on Sunday, July 9, 2006 where details about Carpenter's scouting report was mentioned. I added some of the details to the article here, but I am unaware of how to site a television program in the citations. Can anyone help? Darwin's Bulldog 08:07, 10 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

NH-specific details

I was talking with my Dad about this article, and he could have sworn that Chris Carpenter was actually from Raymond, New Hampshire. I decided to check, and the first thing I found (with Google) to confirm his memory unfortunately does not exactly look like a Reliable Source though: http://www.jockbio.com/Bios/Carpenter/Carpenter_bio.html. A recent Union Leader article calls him a "Raymond native", but overall it is more focused on the possibility of him moving back to New Hampshire: http://www.unionleader.com/article/20131124/SPORTS0101/131129612. Anyways, it looks like this might require a trip to the library to dig into some old newspaper archives, unless someone else has some other sources... Caddy

I’m not sure where to post this but Carp is a good friend of mine so we were editing his page. We chose to delete the info about his housing and it was soon readded. Also, we added that he caddies part time for my partner, Chris Smith and that was deleted almost instantly. Why is that? I have pictures and am talking to both of these men and have seen it personally. I am confused as to why my content would not be allowed on his page?! Ellesherre (talk) 03:42, 23 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Also he is no longer married. I tried to delete that sentence as well and it’s still there. Help please. Ellesherre (talk) 03:45, 23 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
