Comment
Chowchilla has two prisons for women, housing about 6700 inmates.
Like many cities in California's central valley, it is currently undergoing a housing boom.
Regarding "A copy of this book was in the Chowchilla public library; police theorized that this was the source of the real-life kidnappers' inspiration."
The kidnappers were not from Chowchilla, why would the presence of the book in Chowchilla's library be relevant? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.191.88.85 (talk) 05:09, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Kinda of Sad
I think it is sad that the people working this page have put the "1976 Kidnapping" up at the top of the article. I wish someone would move it down, but I do not feel emboldened to do so, as a new Wikipedia editor. Middle Fork (talk) 18:48, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
