hi. Thanks. I have further updated and refined the article. We still need to refine the section under history and put in Gazetteer or scholarly references. Prad2609 (talk) 16:42, 26 May 2009 (UTC) Pradeep
Geographical Location
The geographical location of Chembur needs to be better defined. Currently, the location is same as the M ward description which includes the suburbs of Mankhurd, Govandi and Deonar. Prad2609 (talk) 12:29, 25 May 2009 (UTC) Pradeep

The revision was undone by an unidentified IP address: 99.33.31.103 on December 20, 2010. I have removed again this listing on December 22, 2010.
The list contained names of people whose fame was of questionable nature to be included in a Wikipedia article. Also it was debatable if these persons were from Chembur since their area of residence falls in present-day nearby neighbourhoods of Deonar, Govandi and Mankhurd etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Prad2609 (talk • contribs) 07:54, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
January 2011 Review
Review per request by User:Prad2609 who is one of the major contributors to the article on my talk page 1.
- References - Toponymy, Transportation, Economy and Recreation have no references. There are more 14k+ results for Chembur using Google Book Search - it should not be that difficult to get more information or references on the topic (refer 2).
- The refs that are present are haphazard - may I suggest that the following formats be used for refs {{Cite book | last = | first = | authorlink = | coauthors = | title = | publisher = | date = | location = | pages = | url = | doi = | id = | isbn = }} or {{Cite news | last = | first = | coauthors = | title = | newspaper = | location = | pages = | language = | publisher = | date = | url = | accessdate = }} be used for all references. For more refer to 3.
- The article has been tagged for copy edit requirement - certainly needs looking into
- Photographs required. You may want to get some images from flickr (if they are under CC, Attribution or PD license) or request for the area to be covered under the Wikipedia Photowalks (I understand Mumbai has had one recently).
- The lede needs expansion
At the moment I think the Start-class tag still applies, a lot of work still needs to be done. You may want to add information on infrastructure, geography, demographics etc - suggest read up of similar subject articles with GA or FA status such as Manhattan. Hope this helps (my first review so apologies for missing anything!). Cheers, Around The Globeसत्यमेव जयते 09:31, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
- I am here on the request of User:AroundTheGlobe, who pinged me. I must say it is a very good review, which concentrates on the solutions, rather than just the problems. --Redtigerxyz Talk 15:40, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

- You haven't explained in what way you think the coordinates are erroneous. I've changed them somewhat; but if you still think there is an error, you will need to give a clear explanation of the problem. Deor (talk) 16:56, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
