Son

Chavo has a son named Salvador James Guerrero IV, so does this mena that Chavo's middle name may be James also? Can someone verify his (Chavo's) name?(MgTurtle 23:02, 4 August 2007 (UTC)).Reply

It's actually just Salvador Guerrero IV for Chavo (meaning his son is Salvador James Guerrero V). It can be seen here:

VITAL RECORDS - EL PASO COUNTY, TX - BIRTH 1970
GUERRERO, SALVADOR IV 20-Oct-1970 m
The list is also supposed to include middle names, like the entry below, but it seems that Chavo doesn't have one.

Isnt Chavo now working on the ECW brand not the Smackdown! brand —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.169.193.239 (talk) 00:19, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

No. Still on SD! It's the talent exchange agreement that lets him compete on ECW. NiciVampireHeart (talk) 21:52, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
And now he's the first ECW Champion in Smackdown brand history. 63.215.27.146 (talk) 05:09, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Not notable as a result of the talent exchange. -- bulletproof 3:16 05:17, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Trivia: Chavo is the first ever Hispanic-American to win the ECW Championship.

Under the list of ECW champions Tito Santana is listed as having won the title once. Wouldn't that make this bit of trivia a lie?

I'm interested to know where you got this bit of trivia? I don't see it in his article. ♥NiciVampireHeart17:36, 6 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Me neither. Guess someone already removed it. 80.167.101.142 (talk) 09:01, 9 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, I guess that means problem solved then. ;) ♥NiciVampireHeart16:28, 9 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Rename

Shouldnt the title of the page be changed to just Chavo Guerrero?--[[Adam Penale]] (talk) 17:25, 13 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Nope. his father was well-known and wrestled as Chavo Guerrero as well. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 17:26, 13 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I forgot about that, never mind--[[Adam Penale]] (talk) 18:09, 13 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Bam Neely breaking up and turning Face??

This was noticed at the end of the 2007-2008 portion. Is their any verifiable truth to that? Tombell12 (talk) 08:16, 19 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Name

I admit that I don't know much about Mexican naming style, but could someone clarify something? Why is his name Salvador Guerrero IV when his father his not Salvador Guerrero III and his paternal grandfather is not Salvador Guerrero, Jr.? TJ Spyke 01:57, 11 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

It was probably because Chavo was born in the US, whereas his father Chavo Sr and grandfather Gory were born in Mexico. The Mexican naming style, as I understand it is
"<given name (first, middle, etc.)> <Paternal surname (in this case, "Guerrero")> <Maternal surname (maiden surname of mother)>".
Chavo Sr and Gory's legal names followed the Mexican style, while Chavo's name followed the US convention of not putting the maternal surname as part of the name. I don't think it's incorrect to call Chavo Sr as "Salvador Guerrero III", however. The best thing to do would be to get more sources on their real names.

Chavo Guerrero Jr.Chavo GuerreroChavo Guerrero – I know that his father used "Chavo Guerrero" as well, but if "Chavo Guerrero" redirects here, I think it's safe for him to have the name to himself. GeicoHen (talk) 01:54, 8 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Definitely agree, it should have always been that way. STATic message me! 18:09, 8 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Stats

I went to revert a field change on the article and bumped into an interesting question: what should Chavo's height and weight be? The WWE in 2010 had him as 5' 9" and 215 pounds - see here. His first TNA stats from 2012 had him at 5' 10" and 255 pounds, per here. His last set of stats before he left TNA had him at 6' 0" and 225 pounds per here in 2015. Now the weight being 225 I can understand due to aging - most people gain some weight as they age. People generally do not gain height as they get older, not when you're over 30. So which of those three values do we use?? Tabercil (talk) 19:36, 28 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
