- It is usually said that it was because of vanity. The king had very thin hair, and therefor used to comb his hair in some sort of circular fashion. Riggwelter (talk) 15:00, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

There is no context for the insulting of the corpse painting within the article. That they were adversaries in life does not provide much context to the painting. Can someone please explain this? Dbsseven (talk) 16:43, 27 December 2017 (UTC)

King of the Lapps
I removed the title King of the Lapps in Nordland[1][2], since it cannot be his full title. It is a significant part though: Assuming this title led to a war with Denmark, something that is currently not mentioned in the article.

Template:R protected11 was something like King of Sweden, the Goths, the Wends, the Finns, the Karels, the Lapps of the Northern Land, Kajanas, the Estonians, Livonia etc. The war I referred to was the Kalmar War, and Bregnsbo & Jensen (2022) above tell that the controversial title was one of the factors that preceded the full-scale conflict. I don't know much more about this, it was just that the title seemed odd to me, as no king would include just a single peripheral region in his official title.
