Plot: an a little bit unclear sentence:
"His coach Mussabini, who was barred from the stadium, is overcome that the years of dedication and training have paid off with an Olympic gold medal."
1. Why is he barred from the stadium?
2. "is overcome that": it seems to me that this sentence is incomplete? As a non-native-speaker I only know the combination "overcome with joy" as fitting in here. As other (even better) fitting words might exist which I just do not know, it would be cool if an English (language) native could fix that part ot the sentence. 2A02:3035:809:39B9:1:0:52A5:38E4 (talk) 04:25, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
- 1. He was unwelcome at the stadium (not "barred", exactly) because he was a professional coach and the Olympics had an ethos of amateurism; it's mentioned a couple of times in the film and in the article.
- 2. Anther combination might be "overcome with emotion"; but simply "overcome" is acceptable in English. Hope that helps... Swanny18 (talk) 15:41, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
Starring Nicholas Farrell
Though the name perhaps lacks the recognition of others, he plays a crucial role in the story. It seems appropriate he should be listed as one of the starring actors. 173.27.51.0 (talk) 12:50, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
- The "Starring" section in the infobox (including the order) seems to be taken directly from the official movie poster, which doesn't include Farrell. Starring credits are negotiated largely based on the actors' prominence, not on their characters' importance to the story. Hqb (talk) 15:47, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
Soundtrack
The soundtrack section states that the brass band music accompanying the entry into the Paris stadium was Vangelis’ L’Enfant; I thought they were playing the Marche Lorraine... Swanny18 (talk) 15:34, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
