Hi I thought this information was in the public domain and didn't need copyright permission. I am sorry I submitted it in error. I guess I am not really familiar with the strength of copyright law and how article information can be transferred from one source to another over the internet. :( Please email me at DarrenDLDavies@aol.com with feedback. I have now contacted the website in question and asked for copyright permission. :)I shall know better next time. I have read your advice on obtaining copyrighted material now.
Um. I run the site that this comes from. The site is mine, but the book in question was published in the 19th century. It's as copyright-free as a book can be. I will attempt to remove the notice. 72.224.223.117 21:11, 25 August 2005 (UTC)

The copyright notice reads:

Apparent confusion between two people
Following the link to Smith's dictionary I see that he lists two different people under Cercidas: one a poet and statesman etc. and another a military commander. They might have been actually one and the same but Smith who the main source for this article as it stands certainly thinks otherwise. What do about this? Bazuz (talk) 13:50, 3 January 2013 (UTC)
