Ridership

Template:Yo Regarding this article, as far as I know, the Daily Hive is a reputable publication for Vancouver news, thus WP:RSOPINION applies for opinion pieces. I have clearly attributed the author in my edit. feminist (talk) 03:12, 22 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Chan is an editor at DailyHive, so it amounts to a self-published source. As Chan is an editor of a news website and not someone who works in public transportation or who studies it (in the formal sense), the inclusion here of his opinion is inappropriate and WP:UNDUE. Not that I actually disagree with the overarching point, but that is just my, and apparently his, personal opinion, and the inclusion of his opinion would be just as inappropriate as the inclusion of mine. Now if DailyHive published an actual journalism piece citing experts or research presenting the same point(s), that would be fine to include. —Joeyconnick (talk) 06:29, 22 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
What? How does being an editor at the Daily Hive make writing about the Canada Line a WP:SPS? I'll restore the content until you can actually support that claim. Walter Görlitz (talk) 07:14, 22 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Now that I've skimmed the article, Chan supports the statements with claim. If TransLink has an issue with it, they can approach the publication for a correction or retraction. I doubt that's going to happen. Walter Görlitz (talk) 07:17, 22 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Template:U, please IMMEDIATELY revert your change here. You are edit-warring when I've provided two sources that clearly state the station is at No. 3 and Capstan Way. —Joeyconnick (talk) 00:22, 22 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
