History section is seriously inadequate
A major portion of State Route 140 was built in the canyon of the Merced River. According to various webpages (example), it opened in 1926 and was called the Yosemite All-Year Highway. At present, the article doesn't even mention this name or date. I suppose that a high-quality reference exists, and I encourage someone to use it to improve the article.
