Saturated fats content seems inaccurate
Nutritional information section reads: "Saturated fat is 51% of total fats in butter." Actually, 51% is the content of saturated fats in butter, not percentage of total fats. The latter is 51/81*100% = 63%. 46.112.112.4 (talk) 13:04, 16 June 2025 (UTC)
- Your calculation is correct, and the text was misleading. Thanks for pointing it out.
- This is the USDA nutrition table for salted butter, showing that - in a 100 g sample - total fat is 81 g of which saturated fat is 51 g, monounsaturated fat is 21 g, polyunsaturated fat is 3 g, trans fat is 3 g, and trans fat designated as "18:1 t" is 3 g, for a total of 81 g. I added this description to the nutrition section with Special:Diff/1295915140. Zefr (talk) 16:50, 16 June 2025 (UTC)
