Unincorporated places

Restored removed unincorporated places of: Tylersville, Ohio (See http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?formtype=address&country=US&popflag=0&latitude=&longitude=&name=&phone=&level=&addtohistory=&cat=&address=&city=tylersville&state=oh&zipcode=)

Indian Springs, Ohio (See http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?formtype=address&country=US&popflag=0&latitude=&longitude=&name=&phone=&level=&addtohistory=&cat=&address=&city=indian+springs&state=oh&zipcode=)

Both are unincorporated, but places recognized by locals and most mapping providers.

  • The question is not whether they exist in some form, but rather are they notable (see WP:N for the policy on this). Just because you can find them on a map doesn't mean they are in and of themselves notable - otherwise we'd have an article about every street in every place in the world. What other secondary, non-trivial sources are there? Places recognized by locals sounds very much like orginal research, which is not allowed. Please note any editor can remove unsourced material on sight, and a bunch of red links is not very confidence inspiring. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 14:59, 25 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • Note that Tylersville has it's own wikipedia page which someone was inclined to create with adequate references, and is neither is a "red link". Indian Springs has some historical significance as it was once an incorporated city for a short time and some people still refer to the area by that name. It has a wiki redirect to the township that was formerly the city of Indian Springs. Therefore, I suggest that both are notable enough for listing. Utilitysupplies 23:21, 25 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oxford Township, Ohio?

Is this township in this county? the List of law enforcement agencies in Ohio says so. Paul, in Saudi (talk) 09:25, 29 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
