"Each year, 24 new participants are selected from either side of the Atlantic" v "Each year, 40 new participants are selected from a variety of backgrounds among the intellectual and influential society on both sides of the Atlantic. " is it 40 or 48 ?

Analysis needed

The article is presently just a list of prominent members and a bit of info about lectures. It's often claimed that this organisation has links with the intelligence community, particularly the CIA. This is an odd claim since many members appear to be left/liberal rather than right/conservative. If anyone could add properly referenced info to explain things further, it would improve the article a lot. There are quite a few of these shady transatlantic elite clubs such as Le Cercle in existence and it would help to be able to see a broader picture. --Ef80 (talk) 23:16, 23 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Agreed, this article makes me want to puke. Absolutely no sound info to be gleaned from it. It should be flagged for non-neutral POV, sounding like a press-release whatever one calls it in wiki-speak. Detmcphierson (talk) 08:06, 22 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
