Time to drop the "application status"

"According to its website, as of August 2010 Breyer State University had applied to the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education for approval to operate in California.[7] "

Isn't it time to drop this from the main article? The Bureau has been through many many cycles of approving schools since August 2010, and its no surprise that they have not been approved. The only evidence that they even applied is from their own website. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Captinron (talkcontribs) 20:12, 6 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

What you say makes sense to me. I have removed it from the article. —David Eppstein (talk) 20:17, 6 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Registration for Application Approved

Following a long wait period of two years in California, the Breyer State University filed an application in the Republic of Panama, and has since been approved.[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scriptedforedit (talkcontribs) 15:43, 6 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Accredited Under Religious Exemption in Florida

Breyer State Theology University meets the requirements for code 1005.06 (1)(f) set by the Department of Education Florida, Commission on Independent Education Also see: Accreditation – https://breyerstate.com/accreditation 38.147.63.146 (talk) 20:57, 28 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

It would appear on the face of it that organizations that are exempt from being accredited are not accredited. Exempt means you don't have to have accreditation, not that you are granted the accreditation you don't have to have. Also, saying any such thing in our article would require independent reliable sourcing, and I don't think a web site from the organization itself is good enough. —David Eppstein (talk) 00:24, 29 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
I don't think that there is anything wrong with using a self-published source for the claim of meeting this particular state law and I have no objection to the article having a sentence two added along these lines. (But I also note that the university's website doesn't explain what the law is about or why it's important - it just says that the university meets the law's requirement. So the necessary additional context would have to come from another source.) ElKevbo (talk)
Have they changed their name and focus? Our article calls them only "Breyer State University, also called Breyer State University-Alabama", but the poster here called them "Breyer State Theology University". This is important because the first criterion of this state law is that they have something religious in their name. Additionally our article states that they offer "programs in diverse fields" and the second criterion is that "The institution offers only educational programs that prepare students for religious vocations". —David Eppstein (talk) 02:16, 29 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
