Influencing Clapton, etc
This is something that has become garbled over time.
Albert King was one of those artists that influenced British Blues.
But THIS ALBUM was released five years after British Blues started, and long after British Blues had become arguably the major pop music format (aka "The Rolling Stones" etc).
The wiki page cites AMG where Stephen Erlewine states about "Born Under a Bad Sign":
"..allowing to him to unleash a torrent of blistering guitar runs that were profoundly influential, not just in blues, but in rock & roll (witness Eric Clapton's unabashed copping of King throughout Cream's Disraeli Gears)."
Again, this is confusing King influencing Clapton with "Born Under a Bad Sign" influencing Clapton and "Disraeli Gears" - which is obviously impossible because Disraeli Gears was recorded before the release of Born Under a Bad Sign.
Oops !
I haven't bothered to edit the wiki page, because it just points to the AMG page which would be a lot harder to correct.
1000 years would be too short to correct all the lazy errors in the world. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.122.69.141 (talk) 20:50, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- but many of the tracks of Born Under A Bad Sign were released before as a single,so before Disraeli Gears 62.98.138.76 (talk) 15:59, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
Homer Simpson
As funny as it is I'm afraid I have to delete this. Homer Simpson isn't an artist. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trefalcon (talk • contribs) 19:13, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
Disambiguation
I searched for "born under a bad sign" and got here, but I meant this: Born Under a Bad Sign (Supernatural)
What about a Disambiguation page?

- I've added a disambiguation link to the top of the article. Unless there are more pages to disambiguate, I think it is enough. Fbergo 15:37, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Compilation album?
Why is this classified as a compilation album? I've never heard it referred to like that before. D1119 22:00, 31 January 2020 (UTC)
- Template:Ping Sorry about the wait, I just saw this comment. I could have sworn one of the sources called it a compilation album, but I can't find it. So I'm just going to edit it to call it a normal studio album. Template:Ping This is also something you should be aware of. Famous Hobo (talk) 14:26, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
- It meets the normal definition of a compilation album: eight songs on the album (out of 11) were previously released as singles and recorded over 15 months; a studio album is usually recorded and released as "a single work". Stephen Thomas Erlewine wrote is his AllMusic review "Initially, these sessions were just released as singles, but they were soon compiled as King's Stax debut, Born Under a Bad Sign. [emphasis added]" —Ojorojo (talk) 15:06, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
it is not a compilation album:it is the first Albert King LP, like many blues albums of the '50/'60 collects songs released before as singles, but it doesn't mean it is a compilation album — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.98.138.76 (talk) 14:16, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
