Village of Biskupin (pow. zninskie)

Is the village still inhabited? I was brought there in 1999 on a bus tour and saw two short streets with about ten cottages on each street. The place looked so desolate. Musicwriter 17:33, 11 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

  • On the Page of Nazi Archaeology it says that this site was destroyed as it didn't fit in with the 'germanic' viewpoint. This information may be false and needs verfiying.

QUALITY of the article (like most translations in wiki) is VERY VERY POOR. It lacks basic historical data and sources. Also catholic links in texts are pathetic and unappropriate - it is not necessary to make any special notes about primate special interest. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.3.237.188 (talk) 02:31, 26 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Flooding Biskupin

Germans tried to prove he German roots in Biskupin, but they could not so they flooded the site. There is no other reason to that. Nazi archaeology was the movement led by various Nazi leaders, such as Adolf Hitler and Heinrich Himmler, archaeologists and other scholars to research the German past in order to strengthen nationalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.107.135.237 (talk) 05:47, 17 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

More

Tantalizing article, but does anyone know more about this place? Why go to such tremendous effort to construct what was probably a pretty sturdily fortified town, possibly mostly in just one winter? It sounds like a village of farmers, what was the sudden threat? And why did the town go defunt? Were the walls inadequate? I realize these things might not be knowable. I'm just curious.
