Raised in the Chicago suburb of Clarendon Hills, Illinois...

Is this correct? I thought he grew up in the Los Angeles area (Pacific Palisades, Palos Verdes Estates, something like that). Funnyhat 06:56, 2 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

He went to High School for at least one year at Ottawa Hills, which is a suburb of Toledo, Ohio. His father was an executive with Owens-Illinois, based in Toledo, Ohio. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.183.131.85 (talk) 22:22, 7 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

His father was the Plant Manager of Owens-Illinois in Los Angeles, when Bill attended high school. His father was transferred back to Corporate in Toledo, Ohio. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.132.134.35 (talk) 00:51, 18 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

He played in the Elite 8 in 1979 while with Notre Dame. Same team as Kelly Tripuka and Orlando Woolridge. That team last to Magic Johnson and Michigan State. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1702:4900:2CE0:20E1:57CB:6BE7:EB00 (talk) 00:26, 23 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Beastie Boys Song

Was he really the subject of the song? Isn't the song really about playing street ball with someone that is tough and aggressive like Bill Laimbeer was? 173.66.226.20 (talk) 22:58, 25 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Laimbeer's claim-to-fame

The intro section absolutely needs to mention Laimbeer's claim-to-fame: his "physical" (some might say violent or dirty) playing style. Fluous (talk) 05:02, 18 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Should be in the hall of fame.

Laimbeer was the best thing to ever happen to Michael Jordan. After defeating Jordans Bulls for the second time he made fun of Jordan. This ticked Jordan off so much he set a year goal to get back in the playoffs and beat Laimbeer. Laimbeer used to call Jordan Mikey like the kid on the breakfast food box and Jordan hated that. 50.102.147.20 (talk) 21:14, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
