captains tried/cashiered

The list given in the footnote disagrees with that in Clowes, who gives the following eleven:

  • Burrish - cashiered
  • Williams - reduced to half pay
  • Ambrose - cashiered (later restored to rank)
  • Dilkes - dismissed from his ship
  • Frogmore - deceased before trial
  • Norris - retired (did not return to England for trial)
  • Pett - acquitted
  • Sclater - acquitted
  • West - cashiered (later restored to rank)
  • Cooper - cashiered (later restored to rank)
  • Lloyd - cashiered (later restored to rank)

(additionally the officers of Dorsetshire were court-martialled en bloc, and acquitted) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.1.157.137 (talkcontribs) 23:01, 22 February 2016‎
