Why is silambam mentioned? This is obviously a Japanese thing, not Sri Lankan. It doesn't say staff fighting, it says bojutsu. NumericalWarfare (talk) 17:18, 2 July 2016 (UTC)
External links modified
Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just modified one external link on Bōjutsu. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/web/20070828210627/http://www.shotokan.net.au/weapons.html to http://www.shotokan.net.au/weapons.html
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at Template:Tlx).
Cheers.—InternetArchiveBot (Report bug) 18:26, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
Okinawan vs Japanese
This only talks about Okinawan bojutsu, which has nothing to do with the Japanese version, since Karate and its components weren't taught in the mainland until the 1900s. AFAIK the word just means any kind of fighting with sticks, so even an European style would be called that in Japanese, but that doesn't mean they are the same thing. 2001:14BA:2BEA:C600:B042:572B:BD51:A9E9 (talk) 12:16, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
