bisexuality

this Guardian article https://www.theguardian.com/books/2008/may/31/news.france says that she had an affair with Francoise Sagan, so she was bisexual. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.197.12.104 (talk) 17:24, 18 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

there is also a rumour linking her to Lana Turner, but no reliable source 188.29.9.221 (talk) 08:41, 27 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Pronunciation

Is it Ai-va or Ar-va? uninformed minds want to know. Paul Magnussen (talk) 05:19, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Why would you think at it would be pronounced "Ar-va", Paul Magnussen? That seems highly unlikely. Cullen328 (talk) 05:23, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Umm… because that's how it's spelt? Paul Magnussen (talk) 16:21, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Not even remotely, no. It might possibly be Ah-vah (but isn't) but if your dialect is causing you to add random Rs in the middle of innocent women's names like that... consider changing it. — LlywelynII 08:23, 3 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Interestingly, in Kitty Kelly's Frank Sinatra biography (His Way, Bantam Books (1987), ISBN 0-553-26515-6), p. 150, Ava herself is cited as pronouncing it "Ahvuh". Paul Magnussen (talk) 20:10, 20 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

The personal lasts of Audrey Hepburn and Ava Gardner at the Ferragamo Museum in Florence, Italy

This article has the opposite problem of Ms Hepburn's: There are so many photos that it's hard to see where this could fit. All of the photos seem to be about Ms Gardner specifically, as well, rather than trivia and associations. Still, if any are eventually added or reorganized as a gallery, this pic might be a fun addition, as well as slightly educational re: lasts. — LlywelynII 08:23, 3 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Relation to actress " Mary Elizabeth Winstead "

Mary Elizabeth Winstead's grandfather, Ambler William Winstead, was a cousin of actress Ava Gardner BloodDraco (talk) 21:32, 30 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Which got that Information from ....
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Elizabeth_Winstead BloodDraco (talk) 21:34, 30 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
don't remember which Website I got this from ----> Ava’s paternal great-grandparents, William Gardner and Cynthia Eliza Batts, were also the paternal great-great-great-great-grandparents of actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead. This makes Ava Gardner and Mary Elizabeth Winstead second cousins, three times removed. BloodDraco (talk) 21:37, 30 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
