I looked at the format for dates in the articles on the other composers mentioned in htis article. They all have it as monthname daynumber, yearnumber; none of them have it as yearnumber, monthnumber-daynumber. 141.217.70.237 17:09, 21 May 2004 (UTC)Reply

Proposals by Saint-Saëns??

I have removed this text: « Saint-Saëns several times asked Holmès to marry him. »

This is extremely unlikely since Saint-Saëns made no secret that he preferred intimate companionships with men. Charvex (talk) 05:16, 7 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, but HE DID. Documented that he fell in love with her. Documented that he fathered two children and was married. No direct evidence that he was homosexual. 2603:6080:2104:8C8B:34B0:BD8A:72B1:A6F (talk) 08:47, 17 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

possible bisexuality and affair with Colette

in their book Creating Colette, Fernande Gontier and Claude Francis say that Augusta Holmes had an affair with Colette, although Colette's later biographer Judith Thurman has queried this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.30.54.44 (talk) 17:11, 21 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
