Removed of lunar mission section

The following text was removed:

Use in preparation for lunar mission

NASA plans to send three astronauts and a doctor to Aquarius from October 3 to October 20, 2005 to train for a mission to the moon. The team's mission includes testing techniques for remote surgery, remotely operating a planetary rover, simulating moonwalks with pressurized suits, and even building an underwater base near Aquarius similar to one that could be constructed on the moon.

The text was removed due to cancellation of the mission. See Aquarius 2005 Schedule.

Ah, I guess I jumped the gun. Thanks for noticing. Wmahan. 00:42, 5 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Internal photo is not of Aquarius.

Interior photo is actually a photo of Hydrolab; a habitat which preceded Aquarius and hasn't been used since the 1980s.

Date of Hurricane Hugo

The article has the wrong year for Hurricane Hugo. Hugo occurred in September 1989, not 1988. As I have no knowledge of the repair work mentioned, I will leave it for someone else to correct. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.75.170.119 (talk) 08:13, 5 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

Strange sentence

"It is one of the few underwater research facilities in the world dedicated to science." Aren't all research facilities dedicated to science? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.21.89.186 (talk) 16:21, 23 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

So, exactly where is it?

In the intro paragraph here, it's stated that the facility is 5.4 miles off Key Largo. Yet, in the NEEMO article, it's stated to be 3.5 miles off Key Largo.

Neither article mentions a move/relocation of any kind.

So, exactly where is the Aquarius Reef Base? 2600:8800:785:1300:C23F:D5FF:FEC4:D51D (talk) 02:18, 6 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

https://www.mrdf.org/undersea-explorations lists three undersea habitats of theirs. #1 was repurposed to become #3 and #2 was brought to the surface and turned into a museum. so, it seems unlikely that they're currently operating two habitats. 108.246.204.20 (talk) 22:49, 15 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
