- That's from the perspective of JavaEE. "Appserver" as a term predates JavaEE, and to muddy the waters, it was an horribly ill-defined buzzword. Everything from Google to Napster was spoken of as an Appserver, and as such I told all my guys (and marketing) to never use it. It means absolutely nothing concrete, and only caused incredible confusion among customers and investors. How I wish it never came to be in the first place.Tgm1024 (talk) 21:02, 31 December 2018 (UTC)
