Should be stipulated that Apocalypse's molecular manipulation power is SELF matriculation. He doesn't have generic molecular manipulation powers such as a character like The Silver Surfer or Dr Manhattan. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.27.247.230 (talk) 05:21, 25 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

En Sabah Nur meaning

In the introduction it says <<Apocalypse (also known as En Sabah Nur or "the morning light")>> But under https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apocalypse_(comics)#Rise_of_Apocalypse <<Baal names him En Sabah Nur or "The First One.">>

which one is it? 190.230.55.30 (talk) 14:59, 15 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Although the name is deemed a mistranslation, the name still means "The First One" within the universe. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MulhollandJn (talkcontribs) 21:43, 31 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

En Sabah Nur does not mean the morning light in Arabic. Sabah is indeed Morning. Nur is light. That phrase though is gibberish. Nur es-Sabah (Nur al-Sabah) = the light of the morning or the morning light. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.216.225.116 (talk) 21:06, 24 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
On reflection, this is almost certainly a mangling of the actual phrase Sabah En-Nur (Sabah El Nur), but En Sabah Nur is not Arabic, it's gibberish. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.216.225.116 (talk) 21:11, 24 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

I'm guessing there must be some real linguistic root, because Tolkien uses a very similar name for the caverns on Mount Doom -- Sammath Naur. Too similar to be a coincidence? Bookgrrl holler/lookee here 00:20, 2 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

"First one to possess the mutant gene"

I thought the 'mutant gene' was placed inside all of humanity by the Celestials, almost a million years before En Sabah Nur was born. And isn't Selene, whose origin predates Apocalypse's both in fiction and reality, a mutant, too? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.93.207.150 (talk) 09:57, 13 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

En Sabah Nur first mention

The first mention of Apocalypse as En Sabah Nur is actually Cable #5 not #6. The name is used in Cable #2 (page 7), but without mention of Apocalypse. Bootlego (talk) 19:45, 17 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
