I found an error and I need to fix it
There is a quote on this page and it links to the biblical Seth, when I'm pretty sure Isis wasn't afraid of Seth from the bible. Kelpor (talk) 18:02, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
- I have amended the link to Set (deity). Mr rnddude (talk) 18:05, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Romanization of Coptic

Removal of Popular Culture section, July 2024
Maybe nobody will be sorry to see it gone, but I removed the popular culture section, because it contained precisely zero examples, just a paragraph on impact that has been tagged as needing a citation for over a year.Neatly95 (talk) 01:49, 13 July 2024 (UTC)

Too many images from the Book of the Dead.
I noticed that there is a total of 3 images of Anubis from the Book of the Dead now - two photographs and one SVG. I think that's too many. We should remove one of the pictures; and move either the remaining picture or SVG to the Gallery section. IapetusCallistus (talk) 14:22, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
- There were actually four images from the Book of the Dead, but three of them were of the Weighing of the Heart, which is ridiculous. I cut those three down to one (a photograph of an original papyrus, not an SVG). A. Parrot (talk) 16:53, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
Wording on "Anubis has no relevant myth."
I also noticed that the article mentioned "No relevant myths" involves Anubis. I think it would be better to say "Very few relevant myths" involve Anubis. Anubis inventing mummification was a major myth since a large amount of time and effort of the Ancient Egyptians went into mummifying their pharaohs and relatives (if they have enough money, that is) and they recognized Anubis as its inventor;
and Anubis being a major god who oversee judgement during the "Weighing of the Heart" are indeed relevant myths. IapetusCallistus (talk) 15:28, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
- I would remove the passage altogether. Firstly, the wording is highly subjective. Secondly, it is not even accurate. Anubis appears in the Osiris myth, one of the most important myths in Egyptian mythology. Additionally, there are indeed myths about Anubis, though they are not easily accessible unless one conducts extensive research using academic sources, where Egyptologists attempt to piece together fragmentary remnants of ancient narratives.
