User:MiszaBot/config Template:Archives I have ankylosing spondylitis and have been put on Humira and methotrexate which has dramatically reduced my pain due to inflammation. I took every NSAID there is including Celebrex (Cox-2 drug). I didn’t see any mention of this newer medication. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:5C6:C300:7A60:A421:15C9:A1BC:79C4 (talk) 21:36, 20 December 2020 (UTC)

To add to article
Basic information (which anyone visiting this article might expect to find here) to add to this article, in order to make it more properly encyclopedic: the etymology of this disease name (i.e., what does "ankylosing" literally mean, and what does "spondylitis" literally mean). 76.189.135.48 (talk) 21:26, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
Change of name to Axial Spondyloarthritis
According to current ASAS guidelines (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38071514/), the name axial spondyloarthritis is preferred due to the lack of "ankylosis" in most patients during (early) diagnosis and afterwards, since medications are able to prevent that progression SandololDaGrate (talk) 02:45, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
