First paragraph is awful

The first paragraph in this article just seems to be downright awful. It doesn't read well. Not knowing the background information on the Greyhound strike outside of what's on Wikipedia makes it very difficult to try to edit it as well. Where did the information for the Greyhound strike come from? It would be greatly appreciated in trying to rewrite that first paragraph for better readability. Schuminweb 04:49, 1 August 2005 (UTC)
