The "rooftop packaged unit or RTU" isn't a air handler unit. The RTU is a HVAC equipment by refrigerant compression.--Neurotronix (talk) 03:59, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
- The article intro includes packaged units within the scope of the article. While there are some differences between an AHU and a RTU, the unit in the picture is definitely a packaged unit or RTU. Yes, it incorporates air-cooled refrigeration, but it still is a packaged unit where I come from. -- P 1 9 9 • TALK 13:11, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
Mention for DOAS (Dedicated Outdoor Air System)
Another way to describe an air handling unit that uses only outdoor air (and no return air) is dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS). --IanVG (talk) 20:22, 2 September 2021 (UTC)
