Fair use rationale for Image:Addiction 2 dvd.jpg
Image:Addiction 2 dvd.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:10, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Clean-up!
- The references in this article do not cite the text they merely establish that Brighton College exists and that there was a fictitional character on HBO's "Sex and the City" called Aiden Shaw. This needs numerous citations to be properly verified as well as aditional references for all the text. Also, is the subject notable for some reason? Fuzzyred 23:35, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortunatley Fuzzyred, I have recently dealt with this issue. It seems that someone pushed to have this stuss entered into the WP:PORNBIO. If you look at the guideline, it says as long as these trash sites can show that they have won some form of award, they are considered notable and entitled to an article. I do not in anyway agree with that! I also do not feel that these people should be granted the right to advertise their escort services or to hock porn sites and videos for sale. But it seems to get by everytime. It is very disappointing. Junebug52 01:37, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- God only knows what trash you get up to in your own private time. There's much more trash on here before starting to worry about porn stars. They do no harm to anybody, if you watch their movies it's because you're into them. If you're not, you have no business reading, writing, watching or judging them. section blanking
There appears to be a problem with certain editors deleting details and even blanking entire sections of this article in relation to Aiden Shaw's career as a porn star. One of the editors (User:New man already) claims to be Aiden Shaw himself, though this is obviously unverified. Regardless, it is a breach of WP:WELLKNOWN to remove details from an article that are adequately sourced. Doing so can be construed as deliberate vandalism. Wikipedia is not here to make Aiden Shaw look good or to promote him, it is merely here to tell people who he is and what he is famous for. He is most famous for being a gay porn star, but he has also written books and recorded music. Furthermore, if the user mentioned above is indeed Aiden Shaw, then editing the article is a breach of WP:COI, especially if whole sections are being removed. Please confirm this with Wikipedia's managing administrators before making further changes to the article. 88.104.27.100 (talk) 19:29, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
