Students?

What's the normal way to describe children at school in Australia - pupils or students? In England they are pupils, but increasingly, teachers and others are referring to them as students, for reasons best known to themselves. As far as I know, students go to college and university and pupils go to school. If this is the most common usage in Australia (pupils), then this article needs changing accordingly.
