Gentleman Jim Carter, a Texas radio disc jockey, survived a direct hit by the Wichita Falls Tornado. While racing back to his apartment complex to assist his landlord, he inadvertantly crossed the path of the approaching storm. Jim's car was pummeled with debris and raised off the ground several times. He survived the encounter with only minor injuries. His landlord survived the F5 rated storm as well.

Outbreak is over two days

Looking at the data from NOAA and the TornadoHistoryProject pages, the outbreak was spread over two days as shown here. The Mississippi Valley also had the outbreak on the 11th [1] [2] --JForget 04:34, 8 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wichita Falls section needs work

A substantial portion of the Wichita Falls section needs a re-write. Appears to be taken from a book or some other source as a recounted memory of the tornado. Some of the facts seem rather unlikely, especially the tornado width, which would tie or exceed the current record width, if true. Perhaps usage of more objective sources, like the National Weather Service, would improve this section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Slincoln (talkcontribs) 02:42, 11 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Broken reference links

The links to the storm event information at the Norman forecast office were broken due to a change on their website. They are fixed now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Steppedleader (talkcontribs) 03:47, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
