The 1936 Winter Olympics were held in Berlin? Shouldn't that be the Summer Olympics? How could they hold ski races in an urban stadium?

Yes, it's a mistake. They were held in Garmisch and Partenkirchen. Now corrected sannse 15:32 Feb 11, 2003 (UTC)

New record for medal weight

I guess 2012 London olympics medals were heavier, 420g? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.61.54.188 (talk) 20:45, 1 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Political aspects?

The article on the Summer Games describes at length the issues regarding it being influenced by the Nazi ideals, threats of boycotts, etc. But what about the Winter Games? They were held in Germany under Hitler too. Were there no similar controversies (calls to ban black and Jewish athletes, for example?)? 70.72.211.35 (talk) 15:25, 14 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Inconsistency with infobox & navbox

The infobox has the 1948 games as successor to these games. Yet the navbox has the cancelled 1940 games as these games successor. GoodDay (talk) 08:26, 23 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
