A request to all the fellow Wikipedians interested in the development of contents of this page: I shall be adding (say, by end-April/ early-May 2006) some more contents to this page. If some one may add a map and picture/s, the page shall become better. Thanks. --Bhadani 12:26, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
Is the headquarters spelled Chhapra or Chapra? RJFJR 02:47, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
Possible copyright violation
Most of this article is copied from the a page at the official website for the Saran Division. The homepage of the site doesn't appear to have a copyright statement on it, but says at the bottom, "Web Site design, Developed & Hosted By National Informatics Centre,Saran,Chapra,Bihar-841301". I don't know the copyright status of governmental websites in India. Perhaps someone else can look into this? - dcljr (talk) 18:32, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hi. Thanks for finding this. NIC material is not usable. While it can be reproduced, it cannot be modified and prior permission must be sought. See [1]. I'm investigating the article now to see what further steps are necessary. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:40, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Saran district
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Saran district's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "Language":
- From Siwan district: 2011 Census of India, Population By Mother Tongue
- From Vaishali district: Script error: No such module "citation/CS1".
- From East Champaran district: Script error: No such module "citation/CS1".
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOTβ‘ 08:13, 3 April 2022 (UTC)

It was established by Bais Kshatriya who migrated from the Vaishali or Vajjika Republic between 400B.C. to 200B.C.. The capital of Saran was the Sonpur city.
