Ross Township is one of eleven townships in Lake County, Indiana. As of the 2010 census, its population was 47,890 and it contained 19,951 housing units.[1]

History
Ross Township was established in 1848. It was named for William Ross, a pioneer settler.[3]
Geography
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of Script error: No such module "convert"., of which Script error: No such module "convert". (or 99.92%) is land and Script error: No such module "convert". (or 0.08%) is water.[1] The township includes the town of Merrillville, as well as portions of the city of Hobart.
Education
