Reid Hope King is a census-designated place (CDP) in Cameron County, Texas, United States. The population was 667 at the 2020 census.[1] It is part of the Brownsville–Harlingen Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Geography

Reid Hope King is located in southern Cameron County at Script error: No such module "Coordinates". As of the census[20] of 2000, there were 802 people, 194 households, and 174 families residing in the CDP. The population density was Script error: No such module "convert".. The racial makeup of the CDP was 77.31% White, 1.75% African American, 0.25% Native American, 16.71% from other races, and 3.99% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 95.26% of the population.

There were 194 households, out of which 56.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.4% were married couples living together, 22.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 10.3% were non-families. 8.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 4.13 and the average family size was 4.38.

In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 38.3% under the age of 18, 13.2% from 18 to 24, 23.6% from 25 to 44, 18.3% from 45 to 64, and 6.6% who were 65 years of age or older.
