Template:Infobox given name Priya or Pria (Template:Langx, Template:IAST3)[1] is a common given name in India which is also used in Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
It is cognate to the name of the Germanic goddess Frigg; both descend from the Proto-Indo-European stem *priH-o-, meaning "beloved".[2]
