Ferret-badgers are the six species of the genus Melogale,[1] which is the only genus of the monotypic mustelid subfamily Helictidinae.[2][3][4][5]

Human impact

The ferret-badger's impact on humans is through the spread of rabies. This has been documented in Taiwan and China but lack of prior documentation and research on ferret-badgers has proven a roadblock.[7][8][9]
